Jackie runs Icon Painting courses at St. Peter’s Church, Soberton, Hampshire.
The icons are painted in the traditional Byzantine style using egg tempera, 23.5 carat gold leaf and wooden panels. Drawings provided so don’t worry if you’re a beginner.

Christ Pantocrator – May 16th – 20th
This icon portrays Christ as the world’s sovereign ruler. This is one of the oldest icons of Jesus.
St. Peter – July 4th – 8th
A traditional image of the saint looking to our right and holding a scroll.
Mother of God Hodegetria – August 8th – 12th
Hodegetria – the one that shows the way. The prototype of this icon is said to have been painted by the Apostle Luke.

A traditional icon of St. Peter holding a scroll.
Our Lady of Damascus – August 10th – 14th
The original icon is in Valetta, Malta, and is based on the Virgin of Loving Kindness.
